Dewonia Lashone Ammons

Dewonia Lashone Ammons of Atlanta passed away on January 10, 2022.  A viewing will be held for family and friends on Friday, January 21,2022 from 1pm until 5pm at  Rw  Andrews Mortuary Chapel.    Dewonia Lashone Ammons, age 54, was born on February 20, 1967 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady L. (Leila M.) Ammons, Sr. in Atlanta, Georgia. She departed this life on Monday, January 10, 2022. 

She attended T. H. Slater Elementary School, graduated in the Class of 1985 from L. J. Price High School, and attended Clark Atlanta University (Clark College) for one year. She loved working with children and was an After-School Teacher at Eagle’s Nest Child Development Center. 

Dewonia is survived by her Sisters: Deacon & Mrs. Dennis (Joyce L.) Lewis and Ms. Cassandra M. Ammons; Sister-In-Law: Mrs. Priscilla Ammons; Nieces: Ms. Tracie M. Rachel, Ms. LaKeshia R. Ammons; Nephews: Mr. & Mrs. Gregory S. (Vanessa) Cole, Mr. Grady L. Ammons, III, Mr. & Mrs. Reginald L. (Jessica) Ammons, II; Uncle: Mr. James Butler - Wyoming; Two (2) Great-Nieces; Three (3) Great-Nephews; Several Great-Great Nieces and Nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.  Rw Andrews Mortuary, Eastpoint
