Deacon James Andrews

Deacon James Andrews 88 of Decatur  passed May 7.  Graveside Services will be held Saturday May 15, 2021 at 12noon at Holly Sping Missionary Baptist Church Old Chalker rd. Warthen, Ga. Uncle James peacefully passed away on May 7th. Born in Sandersville, GA to Primus and Bertha Andrews. James graduated from TJ Elder and went on to serve his country in the Army. After his commitment in the Army was fulfilled, he relocated to Atlanta, GA. He got married and started a family. He spent most of his working career at Center for Disease Control (CDC) as well as worked for Dekalb County after retirement. James put family first and was a dedicated father. He served as a Deacon in various churches such as Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church and most recently, Mount Calvary Baptist Church. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Jimmy Andrews, Raymond Boykin (stepson), Douglas Andrews, and Donald Andrews. Grandchildren, Chelsea Andrews, Donald Andrews Jr., Danielle Andrews, Dana Andrews, Janai Andrews, and David Andrews. As well as a whole host of nieces and nephews. Public viewing Friday 11-5pm at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Church at 11:45pm on day of Service.  Rw Andrews MORTUARY, Eastpoint
